Adobe Releases Lightroom 3.2 and Photoshop Raw (PC Magazine)

On Tuesday, Adobe announced updates to two of its premier photography applications—Lightroom and Camera Raw. Both new versions add support for 16 additional digital cameras, including the new Canon 60D and the Sony NEX-5. They also improve lens correction profiles and add 120 new ones, for automatic corrections of lens distortion such as chromatic aberration and geometry inaccuracies. Lightroom bumps up to version 3.2, and also adds direct uploading of photos to Facebook and SmugMug. It also gets user-requested improvements to the professional photo workflow app's Library, Develop, Slideshow, Print, and Web modules. Camera Raw is the helper app used by Photoshop and Photoshop elements when importing raw image file from digital cameras, most often used with D-SLRs, offering more control over after-shooting image adjustments. Both updates are free downloads for existing software license holders of either the Windows or Mac versions of Lightroom, Photoshop, or Photoshop Elements. For full details on the updates, you can read the Lightroom Journal blog, and to download the updates, you can head to adobe.com/downloads/updates.
